Question about swimming pool jets?

My pool has been dirty for a while. A couple of days ago I tried to vacuum the pool at first it was working good. But then I started to lose suction. So I cleaned the pool filter and the basket in the pump and I put some liquid chlorine and shocked the pool but now I can't seem to get pressure out of my pool jets to circulate the water. I can see the water in the pump so I know it has not lost its prime. What might be wrong?
